Bees for the allotment
After lots of discussions we finally got our own honey bee colony for the allotments.
We had a bumpy start but now have a healthy colony of honey bees on site. It's early days but the bees seem happy and healthy

Quite a shock a week after we got the bees.... Swarm cells!!
No queen but 20+swarm cells.. Not ideal to start with but the bees knew what they were doing and after a few weeks we had a new queen.. phew!
Hopefully they like their new home by the stream. lets hope the trees defy gravity for a bit longer. See below for what i mean
